About the Course:

This Advanced HEV Diagnostic Tools microcredential trains technicians to safely operate and interpret advanced diagnostic equipment used for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). Learners develop the skills required to identify electrical, electronic, and hybrid system faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic procedures and industry-standard scan tools. 

Through immersive, hands-on simulations, learners will practice connecting diagnostic equipment, retrieving and interpreting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), analyzing live vehicle data, performing system health checks, testing sensors and actuators, and validating repairs. The course emphasizes safe diagnostic practices, systematic troubleshooting, and accurate fault identification to improve repair efficiency and minimize vehicle downtime.
