This advanced program combines immersive Virtual Reality (VR) training with expert-led instruction to prepare you for real-world success. Through hands-on VR simulations, you’ll gain the essential skills and confidence needed to excel in the high-demand field of solar energy installation within just a few months.
Every student receives a VR headset to engage in hands-on, immersive learning from day one. Using high-impact virtual reality simulations, you’ll practice essential skills across all stages of the solar project lifecycle, including site assessment, PV system design, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Key Modules in PV Installer Training:
- Design PV systems considering site conditions, load analysis, client requirements, and regulatory standards
- Commission systems through proper mechanical and electrical testing, documentation, and customer hand-off
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance following industry-standard safety practices
- Troubleshoot system issues using hands-on diagnostics and structured problem-solving
- Conduct essential technical calculations: voltage drop, conductor and string sizing, trigonometry for layouts, temperature corrections, and Ohm’s law
- Apply renewable energy principles with a working knowledge of fire protection, permitting, and electrical codes
- Safely install PV systems, including roof-, ground-, and pole-mounted arrays, following OSHA, NEC, and NFPA standards
