Electric Vehicle Battery Cell Inspection Training
About the Course:
This Electric Vehicle Battery Cell Inspection microcredential introduces EV technicians to the purpose, structure, and inspection considerations of battery cells used in electric vehicle high-voltage battery systems.
Learners will explore battery cell components and configurations and practice inspecting accessible cells and surrounding areas for visible damage, deformation, leakage, corrosion, or other abnormal conditions. The course emphasizes battery cell identification, visual inspection, high-voltage safety, condition awareness, and accurate reporting of inspection findings.
Through immersive VR simulations, technicians will develop practical skills in recognizing battery cell conditions and identifying visible concerns that may require further evaluation or service according to established EV procedures.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify battery cells and their role within an EV high-voltage battery system.
- Explain the basic function of battery cells in storing and supplying electrical energy.
- Recognize common battery cell arrangements within a battery pack.
- Identify accessible battery cell components and connections.
- Inspect battery cells and surrounding areas for visible abnormalities.
- Apply appropriate PPE and high-voltage safety practices during battery cell inspection.
- Distinguish normal visible conditions from conditions requiring further evaluation.
- Document and report battery cell inspection findings according to established procedures.
To connect cell inspection with pack-level battery systems, see our EV battery and battery management systems training, or build toward certification with our Electric Vehicle Technician program.
This Electric Vehicle Battery Cell Inspection training is delivered through our LMS and is available as both web-based and immersive VR training.

Electric Vehicle Battery Cell Inspection Training for EV Technicians

At ImmerseLearn, we equip EV technicians with practical knowledge required to identify and visually inspect battery cells within high-voltage EV battery systems. This microcredential strengthens battery cell identification, visual inspection, condition assessment, high-voltage safety awareness, and inspection reporting through web-based and immersive VR learning.
By completing this microcredential, technicians will develop practical knowledge and simulated experience in identifying and visually inspecting battery cells within EV high-voltage battery systems. Learners will understand the role of battery cells, recognize key components and visible conditions, apply appropriate high-voltage safety practices, and accurately document and report inspection findings.
