About the Course:
This EV Charging System Fundamentals microcredential trains EV technicians to understand, inspect, and work with electric vehicle charging systems used for safe and efficient battery charging operations.
Learners will perform real-world procedures including identifying charging system components, connecting charging equipment, understanding AC and DC charging methods, monitoring charging status, and verifying proper charging performance. The course emphasizes safe handling of charging equipment, charging protocols, and understanding the flow of electrical energy between charging stations and battery systems.
Technicians will also learn to inspect charging components, identify charging-related issues, and ensure proper system functionality to support reliable electric vehicle operation.
