About the Course:
This Installing Floor and Area Drain microcredential introduces plumbing students to the fundamentals of floor and area drain systems, including component identification, proper elevation setting, and installation procedures, as part of our Plumbing Technician Program. Students will explore the role of these drains in managing surface water and preventing flooding in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. Through practical learning modules and demonstration videos, learners gain hands-on experience in preparing, positioning, and securing drains for code-compliant performance.

- Understand how to set correct elevations for various drain types relative to finished floor level.

Course delivered via LMS and requires an Oculus VR headset for hands-on VR simulations.
