About the Course:

This Installing Water Softener microcredential trains technicians to safely install, connect, and test residential and light commercial water softening systems used to reduce hard water minerals and improve plumbing system performance. 

Learners will practice real-world installation techniques including site preparation, plumbing connections, bypass valve installation, drain line routing, brine tank setup, system programming, leak inspection, and operational testing. The course emphasizes safety, plumbing code compliance, and installation accuracy to ensure reliable and efficient water softener operation. 

Technicians will gain hands-on experience in installing water softening systems, minimizing installation errors, and ensuring proper water treatment performance and long-term system reliability.
