About the Course:
The Oral Suspension microcredential equips pharmacy technician students with essential knowledge and hands-on skills to accurately compound non-sterile oral liquid medications. Learners will understand the principles of tablet crushing, levigation, proper dilution, volume measurement, labeling, and final product verification to ensure medication safety and effectiveness.
Through immersive VR simulations, students will practice real-world compounding procedures including donning gloves, disinfecting work surfaces, crushing tablets into uniform powder, incorporating a suspending vehicle, adjusting to final volume, transferring to a labeled prescription bottle, and preparing the product for pharmacist verification.
