This foundational module, History and Evolution of Pharmacy Practice, introduces learners preparing for a pharmacy technician training to the origins and evolution of pharmacy practice, tracing the journey of medicine from ancient traditions to the highly regulated, technology-driven systems of today. Through immersive VR experiences, learners explore how pharmacy standards, regulatory frameworks, and safety practices have developed over time. The roles of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), prescription safety principles, and purchasing procedures that ensure quality and accountability in modern pharmacy operations are also explored.
