About the Course:

This Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Procedure microcredential introduces manufacturing associates to one of the most critical safety procedures used to control hazardous energy during equipment servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair. Learners will explore the principles of Lockout Tagout through an immersive virtual manufacturing environment, where they will safely isolate energy sources, apply locks and warning tags, and verify that equipment cannot be accidentally energized before work begins. 

The course provides hands-on experience performing LOTO on common manufacturing equipment, including electrical control panels, CNC machines, MCB panels, and main power distribution systems. Learners will understand the purpose of each step, recognize the hazards associated with uncontrolled energy, and learn how proper isolation procedures prevent serious injuries, equipment damage, and workplace incidents.
