About the Course:
The Neurology & Mental Health Support microcredential introduces learners to the fundamentals of neurological health and mental well-being in clinical care. Through immersive VR simulations and interactive scenarios, learners explore the nervous system’s structure and function, common neurological disorders, and essential strategies for supporting patients experiencing mental health challenges. Emphasis is placed on effective communication, empathy, safety, and holistic patient care core competencies for Certified Medical Assistants, aligned with clinical medical assistant certification standards, working in multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
The training emphasizes active listening, professional tone, and accurate documentation within electronic health records (EHR). By interacting with realistic virtual patients powered by AI, learners gain the confidence, critical thinking, and professionalism needed to communicate effectively in real-world clinical settings.
