About the Course:

The Orthopedic Assisting microcredential introduces learners to the essential role of Medical Assistants in supporting orthopedic examinations and mobility-related procedures across clinical settings. Through immersive VR simulations, learners gain hands-on experience in preparing patients, assisting providers during musculoskeletal assessments, and supporting mobility aids and procedures. The course emphasizes patient safety, proper body mechanics, infection control, and accurate documentation—key elements for effective orthopedic patient care within clinical medical assistant training course.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify basic musculoskeletal anatomy and common orthopedic conditions.
  • Understand proper protocols for patient preparation, positioning, and mobility assistance.
