Types of PV Systems and Applications
About the Course:
This microcredential course provides an in-depth exploration of various photovoltaic (PV) system types and their applications across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Through immersive VR simulations, learners will gain hands-on experience with grid-interactive and stand-alone PV systems, remote industrial applications, specialty solar solutions, and solar-integrated products, ensuring a deep understanding of real-world PV implementations as part of our PV Training Course.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the differences between grid-interactive PV systems with and without storage.
- Learn about stand-alone PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
- Explore remote industrial PV applications, including telecommunications and off-grid solutions.
- Examine specialty applications of PV technology, such as solar-powered water pumps and lighting.
- Identify solar-integrated products like building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and solar rooftops.
- Engage with Virtual Reality (VR) simulations to visualize and interact with different PV system types.
Course delivered via LMS and requires an Oculus VR headset for hands-on VR simulations.
