Restricted Pharmacy Area Access & PPE Procedures
About the Course:
The Restricted Pharmacy Area Access & PPE Procedures microcredential equips pharmacy technician students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely enter restricted or sterile pharmacy areas, including IV rooms, cleanrooms, and chemotherapy zones.
Through immersive VR simulations, learners will practice proper handwashing, PPE selection and application, sterile gowning and gloving, hand sanitization, and final PPE checks before entering restricted areas. The course emphasizes infection prevention, contamination control, professional appearance, and safe access procedures.

- Explain the importance of proper access protocols for restricted pharmacy areas.

- Demonstrate proper handwashing and drying techniques.
- Properly apply shoe covers, bouffant caps, and beard covers when required.
