About the Course:

This Toilet Installation & Plumbing Connections microcredential trains plumbing technicians to safely and correctly install toilets in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Learners will practice essential installation procedures, including preparing the work area, inspecting the flange and drainage connection, positioning the toilet, installing the wax ring or approved seal, securing the toilet, connecting the water supply, and verifying proper operation. 

The course emphasizes proper alignment, secure connections, leak prevention, sanitation, and safe work practices. Through immersive VR simulations, learners develop hands-on skills needed to complete professional toilet installations while following manufacturer recommendations and plumbing standards. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the major components, tools, and materials required for toilet installation. 
  • Prepare and inspect the installation area, flange, and drainage connection. 
  • Select and install the appropriate toilet seal or wax ring. 
  • Properly position, align, and secure the toilet to the floor.
